Support and advice for parents, carers and young people If you are the parent of a teenager and need advice on teenager issues, please visit: www.gotateenager.org.uk or phone Parentline free, 24 hours a day on 0808 800 2222 Parental Drug Awareness Service (PDAS) -PDAS is an information and support service for those who are concerned about a family member or friend's drug, alcohol or solvent abuse. If you need to talk to someone who understands and cares please telephone our HELPLINE 01707 393934 Adolescent Drug & Alcohol Service (A-DASH) -We work with anyone un der 18 years old in Hertfordshire who has issues/problems with their own drug/alcohol use. We are open weekdays from 9am - 4.30pm. We sometimes see people in the evening. We can meet you anywhere as lng as it's safe. What would make adifference to you? Please reserve your place by calling our Customer Service Centre on 01438 737350 Developing Special Provision Locally Hertfordhire Additional Needs Database -if you are a parent or carer of a child or young person with additional needs you can register on HAND. Have a look at www.hertsdirect.org/hand for details of the benefits of registration. You can register online at www.hertsdirect.org/hand . Alternatively you can contact the Parent Partnership Team to request a membership form by caliing Claudia Houghton or Vicky Warby on 01992 556984. Once you have completed and returned your form a HAND membership card will be sent to you. Autism Alert Card -launched by Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire Police in April 2009. The card gives advice on how to help people who carry them.
