Activities & Services

Here you will find information on some of the activities which take place in our Consortium schools. More detailed information will be found on individual school sites. If, however, there is another activity you would like to see offered, please do e-mail to let us know and we will investigate the possibility of providing it for you.

Childcare

Below are details of providers of childcare in the area.  Providers marked with a * will collect from schools in our consortium.  The Family Services Directory provides up to date information about all childcare in our area, including childminders.

Varied Menu of Activities

All schools in the consortium offer a wide range of after school clubs- some run by staff and thus free of charge, others run by private providers for which there is a charge.  Please contact your child’s school or check the school’s Extended Schools notice board for details of clubs running in your child’s school.  And remember to please get in touch if there’s something else you’d like us to try and organise.  And if you’re a provider, let us know if you’re doing something in our area and we’ll share details here. If you are eligible for Extended Opportunities, then remember funding is available to help with the costs- visit our dedicated page for more details.

Specialist Support for Children and Young People

1. “Getting Together”- termly events hosted by various schools in the area, offering you the chance to meet with health professionals.
2. Connexions – offer counselling for pupils at Rickmansworth School
3. SENCo- all schools

Parenting Support & Family Learning

The Schools and Children's Centres in our consortium offer a range of parenting courses and workshops through the year. Our Parenting Support page has further details of all courses and useful links. Various opportunities for Family Learning are also offered- check with your child's school to see what is currently being offered.

Adult Learning

The consortium work in partnership with several different agencies to offer adult learning opportunities within our local community- follow this link for more details.
