The Common Assessment Framework
The Common Assessment Framework (CAF) is a new way of working with children and young people. It involves listening to you and your child and finding out what their additional needs are. The CAF is voluntary and you can choose, as a parent or carer, whether you wish to be involved. The CAF will ensure that everyone involved in working with a child works together in a coordinated way to support the child and the family and means the child will receive the right support at an early stage before the needs increase.
Our Integrated Practice Coordinator, Sadie Holloway, will support the implementation of the Common Assessment Framework across the Consortium.
